This is a project designed and executed by Summertown International in Dubai. The office is located on Jumeirah Lake Towers.

The selection of cold colours and soft leather seats as well as the open staff space gives it a feel of a home office.

It was great to find out that Summertown is trying to localize its interiors services for the UAE market and an interesting post on their blog is an informative read.

Home/Office Furniture

Designing a piece of furniture that can be used both at home and in the office doesn't sound a great idea but such a furniture will naturally give a home-feel to an office.

I have found the Ahrend 800 a great desking solution for "office homes: offices that feel and look as comfortable as homes".

In fact the Ahrend's financial report touches the fact that an office should be as comfortable as home. It is a great read.

Live/Work: Working at Home, Living at Work

I am not a great fan of home offices books as I believe home should not look like an office and instead office should look like home; But Live/Work: Working at Home, Living at Work has certainly some great insights into creation of comfortable work environments.
